there is a lot of hands on in year 2 like art as therapy and you get to try out your treatments.
they are including mature candidates. I got in the course in 2005 with 2 Bs and a Cs. Other course mates had Cs. Relatively it is harder to get in now.

first year would be alot of theory like physiology (science of human body) and anatomy and other minor courses. Year 2 would be applying what we learn ( OT skills) into practical setting like practical and attachments. 10 hours of studying each week. Lecturers are friendly nuturing and approachable. They would be able to assess your ability since they are the in charge for overseeing and guiding in attachments of 4-6 weeks. The hardest part are the attachments as you need to read up on new knowledge of specific setting such as geriatric, mental health, children, stroke and apply them without anyone telling you how to step by step. It is how you back up your treatments with sound rationale. the attachments are the ones that stretch us mentally, physically and emotionally and we have to be initiative in solving problems. overall it is not a easy course as it is not just about studying. it needs tons of resilence to stay through (:
