คำอธิบายหลักสูตร:

The aim of the program is to produce highly trained individuals who will conduct first-class research at top academic institutions in the world. Students are required to undergo a rigorous training that will endow them with the fundamental tools needed to conduct high quality research, and will expose them to a variety of topics in the faculty’s current areas of research. Graduates of the program have been very successful in the academic job market, securing positions as Assistant Professors at the University of Chicago, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), Yale University, Purdue University, Stockholm School of Economics and Tulane University, among others. The general area of finance can be divided broadly into three main fields: investments, corporate finance, and financial markets and institutions. Investments examine the determinants of portfolio allocation decisions of individual investors, and the implications for the pricing of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, and derivative securities. Corporate finance examines the criteria that firms use in their capital expenditures decisions, and their choice of the financial instruments that are issued to finance these expenditures. The study of financial markets and institutions focuses on the role of financial intermediaries and organized securities exchanges in facilitating the funding of corporate investments, as well as the secondary market trading of financial instruments.

Applicants must hold a university-level degree and have a working knowledge of English. Candidates with a weak mathematical background will be encouraged to undertake remedial math work before entering the program. They must have official GMAT score of 750 and TOEFL score of 297.

Applicant must submit the completed application form online or paper application with €50 non-refundable application fee which has to be paid online with a credit card. The following documents has to be submitted along with the application form: three recommendation letters, photograph in JPEG or GIF format, electronic copy of CV/resume, official transcripts of grades and diploma with certified translation in English where applicable, GMAT or GRE score report, and TOEFL score report. They should also include their profile which contains information about personal information, test results, academic background, professional background, international exposure and activities and interests. Statement of purpose and integrity, including electronic signature is also required.
